BRISBANE LIONS Physical Performance Coordinator Matt Hass says yoga has been a welcome addition to the players’ weekly training program.
“Simon Kerle (former NBL player) and the guys from RAW Power Yoga, down in Newstead, have come on board and the players have really taken to that and have found some good benefits”, he said.
Hass revealed in this week’s Bupa Recovery Report that the program is designed to improve the players’ overall mobility and athleticism as well as techniques around breathing, calmness and controlling anxiety on game day.
“The guys at RAW Power have down a really good job, the boys are lapping it up and hopefully it pays dividends.”
