Key trio Pearce Hanley, Stefan Martin and Mitch Robinson have re-signed with the Lions as they seek to repay the faith shown to them by the Club.

Robinson has extended his tenure by a further two years until the end of 2018. Hanley, who endured an injury-interrupted season, will remain in Brisbane until the end of 2019.

Martin was coming out of contract at the end of 2016 but put any fears of leaving aside, committing to the Lions until 2019.

The 29-year-old has been one of the best ruckmen in the competition for the past season-and-a-half and was one of four co-winners of the Lions' Merrett-Murray Medal for 2015.

He was linked with a return to his home town of Melbourne late in the season, but has now ensured he will be at the Gabba for the remainder of his career.

Martin has played 94 games in an injury-interrupted career, and although he will be almost 33 when his contract expires, he is confident of playing plenty more quality footy.

"I feel like a 22-year-old," Martin said.

"I was a late starter to footy. I took the game up at 19 and started AFL at 21, so in some ways I'm probably not 29 years old in the body."

Hanley has now also locked himself in as a Lion for life, adding another year on to the three he already had remaining.

The classy Irishman has been at the club since it lured him over in 2007, and said it was important to him to remain a one-club player.

"I love the club," Hanley said.

"They gave me an opportunity when they came over and got me out of Ireland and I'm just repaying them back.

"They've brought my brother (Cian) over, they've been awesome to my family. They are a great club.

"From the outside it might not look like the best club, but to us that doesn't matter at the moment, we're building something special and we know that."

Robinson also said it was an easy decision to "repay the faith" to the club that picked him up after Carlton delisted him following the 2014 season.

"Outside of footy I was much happier," Robinson said.

"The boys were very welcoming and the coaches were very relaxed.

"My family, my partner Emma and my son, we're happy up here and absolutely loving it."
