The Geelong Cats got out of Round 2 fairly unscathed, only noting two major injuries.
Star Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan, who suffered a heavy bump from GWS Giant’s ruckman Shane Mumford, has been listed as a test following concussion.
Cats Senior Coach Chris Scott told media that Duncan has so far recovered well and “the indications are positive at the moment."
Nathan Vardy suffered a foot injury in the side’s VFL match which will take approximately six weeks.
“He’s got an injury to the ligament between his first and second metatarsal,” said Cats Head of Physio, Mark Young.
“Nathan’s in a moon boot and will be there for 1 – 2 weeks, and then it’s a case of moving through the gear to see how well he takes the load."
