It was a tough trip south on the weekend as we were defeated by the Western Bulldogs by 53 points at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
The boys put up enormous defensive pressure throughout the first quarter with defenders, Dan Merrett (17 possessions), Harris Andrews (11 disposals and a game-high 8 marks) and Darcy Gardiner having many wins against the flow of inside 50’s.
We led the tackle count overall with Darcy Gardiner (8) and Daniel Rich (7) leading our boys in that respect while Mitch Robinson (27) and Tom Rockliff (26) led the disposal count.
Dayne Zorko had 21 possessions, 6 marks, 5 tackles and 2 goals while Lester (17 disposals, 8 marks, 5 tackles, 2 goals) and Bastinac (20 possessions, 6 marks, 5 tackles) had some good moments in and around the contests.
