The Brisbane Lions could be boosted with three handy inclusions for Saturday’s game against Hawthorn at the Gabba.
Skipper Tom Rockliff may make his return to football after an injury interrupted season. The 26-year-old suffered a small tear to his hamstring in the loss to Port Adelaide in Round 7.
“He’s progressing well in his rehab. He took part in some of the team training last week," said Lions Head of Physiotherapy Shane Lemcke.
“We’ll monitor him throughout the week and as long as we’re really happy, he’ll play, but we won’t be taking any chances.”
Running defender Tom Cutler is likely to return to the Lions’ line-up along with backman Claye Beams.
Cutler, who dislocated his shoulder in the Lions’ Round 5 loss to the Western Bulldogs has trained strongly over the past fortnight.
“Tom is putting up his hand to play, as long as he gets through training with his shoulder – he should be fine."
Beams missed last week’s match with a groin injury, but the Club is confident he will return this weekend.

Midfielder Rohan Bewick will be assessed during the week to determine when he will be fit to return to the side.
“Rohan’s got a bit of a groin problem which he’s been playing with throughout the whole season.
“It was just a little bit worse last week so we decided to be a little bit conservative and keep him out of the game on the weekend.
“We’ll test him through the week and see whether he’s ready to return but we won’t be taking any chances with him.”
Meanwhile Dayne Beams will have surgery on Thursday to investigate the cause of ongoing knee problems.
“Dayne underwent some extra scans last week and saw his surgeon for review,” Lemcke said.
“There is still some uncertainty about what is causing him the amount of pain that he’s got in his knee so he’s actually going to have surgery on Thursday to try to get to the bottom of it.”
