Claye Beams is set to miss the rest of the Season after re-injuring his knee against Southport in the NEAFL on the weekend.
In this week's Recovery Report, Head of Physiotherapy Shane Lemcke, revealed that Claye Beams has torn his medial-meniscus and underwent surgery today.
"He had surgery on that today and had that repaired, but that will be the end of his year," Lemcke said.
In more injury news from the Reserves, Josh McGuinness will also be facing time on the sideline after re-injuring his hamstring.
"It's a little bit worse that it has been in the past, so he's going to be facing an up hill battle to get back on the park this year," Lemcke said.
Lions Defender Dan McStay, who underwent surgery on his ankle last week, will be eyeing off the start of pre-season after a successful operation.
"The surgery was successful, it was all put back in place," Lemcke said.
"He'll be in a boot for a couple of weeks and should be back for the start of pre-season."
Young Lion Josh Watts had minor surgery on his hip yesterday in order to fix ongoing groin issues.
"Wattsy has had some minor hip surgery done, and hopefully that will sort him out and he'll be ready to go next year."
Lemcke revealed that the Club is also hopeful that forward Lewis Taylor (ankle) and defender Hugh Beasley (knee) could return to footy this weekend.
