With the 2017 season fixture now released, we take a look at the upcoming events you'll want to mark down in your calendar.

When can players switch clubs until?

Delisted players become free agents and can join new clubs during any of the three NAB AFL delisted player free agency windows.

Once clubs have delisted a player, they will receive no compensation should that player be signed by a new club.

NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (1) begins: Tuesday, November 1
NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (1) closes: Tuesday, November 8 
NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (2) begins: Thursday, November 10 
NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (2) closes: Friday, November 18 
NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (3) begins: Saturday, November 26 
NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (3) closes: Sunday, November 27, 2pm 
Final AFL club list lodgement: Monday, November 30, 2pm

Delisted players can also nominate for the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

When is the 2016 NAB AFL Draft and the Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts?

The NAB AFL Draft heads to Sydney in 2016. The draft will be held on Friday, November 25. 

The NAB AFL Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts will be held on Monday, November 28. 

When does the 2017 NAB AFL Women's League kick off?

The inaugural AFLW will run from February to March. The fixtures are expected be released in November, 2016.

When does the 2017 pre-season competition kick off?

The fixtures regarding the pre-season competition are yet to be confirmed.

When does the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season kick off?

The home and away season will begin on Thursday, March 23 and run through to Monday, August 28.

When is the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final?

The premiership decider will be held at the MCG on Saturday, September 30.
