The Brisbane Lions have selected exciting midfielder Cedric Cox with pick 24 at the NAB AFL National Draft.
After moving from Halls Creek in WA's Kimberley region to Camperdown in country Victoria, Cox's speed, skill and versatility caught the attention of TAC Cup side North Ballarat Rebels.
The youngster played his best footy this season as a rebounding half-back, but also proved in 10 games he can do some damage as a wingman and occasionally across half-forward.
He was a solid performer at the NAB AFL Draft Combine under the watchful eyes of recruiters.
