After a frustrating year dealing with injury, Allen Christensen appears to have zip back in his step and his sights set on 2017.
"I just want to get a lot more powerful and stronger around the ball," Christensen said of his goals for next season.
"I'll probably play a lot more forward, speaking to Fages, just becoming that dangerous forward who kicks goals but also puts on a lot of defensive pressure."
A courageous attack for a disputed ball left the 25-year-old with an injured collarbone which inevitably ended his 2016 season.
Christensen, who was fifth in the Lions' 2015 best and fairest, was desperately missed in attack.
"It took its time (collarbone). We thought at a stage there that I might get back before the end of the year but it was not to be and it was easier to take the safe option for me and make sure I got a full pre-season in.
"It's healed really well and I'm back into full contact. I've had no problems at all."
"We're getting used to the new game plan - I'm really excited about myself and the team going forward."
