This week's throwback moment relives an arm wrestle at Princes Park in Round 2, 1994, when Fitzroy held off Essendon to claim a 13-point victory.
The match started in extremely similar fashion to the Lions recent victory over Essendon, with the Dons inaccurate in front of goal and kicking 2.6 in the first term, to hold a slim four-point lead.
Trailing by 11-points at half time, a six-goal third term provided Fitzroy with a bit of breathing space and the Roys were able to hold on in the last quarter for a thrilling 17.10 (112) to 14.15 (99) victory.
Captain Paul Roos starred for Fitzroy with 30 disposals and he was well supported by Brad Boyd who collected a game-high 37 disposals and kicked three goals.
