Luke Beecken, the Lions second selection in the 2024 Mid-Season Rookie Draft is dashing rebound defender, making his AFL debut in Round 23 against Fremantle. Recruited from Woodville West Torrens in the SANFL, Beecken has continually impressed at VFL level with his bounce off half-back and willingness to take the game on. With a talented crop of half-back flankers, Beecken will be looking to impress the coaching staff through the pre-season.
