In our last encounter with Geelong, we suffered a disappointing 9.9 (63) to 4.13 (37) loss at the Gabba. Brisbane started strong, kicking the first two goals, but they lost momentum after Oscar McInerney's second-quarter concussion, which forced Joe Daniher into the primary ruck role. The match was played in wet conditions, and both teams struggled to gain control until Geelong surged just before three-quarter time.

Our tall timber down back kept cat forwards Tom Hawkins and Jeremy Cameron goalless, however Geelong were still able to capitalise on turnover and poor efficiency in front of goal. Dayne Zorko was a usual standout with two goals and 27 disposals, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a disciplined Geelong side.

In the end, this game is now history, and our Lions are looking forward with determination. As they approach the penultimate final, we are ready to roar, eager to secure our place on the final weekend of September!
