Ruckman Broc McCauley and utility Tom Collier have been include in the 22-man team in place of Claye Beams and the injured Ryan Lester.
McCauley returns for just his second senior AFL match after making his debut back in Round 2 against the Western Bulldogs in Melbourne.
The 24 year-old ruckman has been named on the interchange bench and will likely assist Matthew Leuenberger with the team’s ruck duties.
Collier has been selected to play his first senior game for 2011 after impressing with the Lions Reserves over the past few weeks.
The 22 year-old has played a total of 20 matches for the Lions since arriving at the Club via the 2007 NAB AFL National Draft and is embarking on his fourth AFL season.
At 192cm, Collier presents the team with a versatile option who can play at either end of the field, but has named to start at centre half-forward.
The Lions look likely to have lost Lester for an extended period of time with a foot injury, while Beams has been omitted after playing in each of the Club’s first three games of 2011.
Meanwhile, Daniel Rich has been named as rover and will run out for his 50th AFL match. Remarkably, he hasn’t missed a senior match since making his debut back in Round 1 of 2009.
The match will also mark the 50th time that Michael Voss has coached the side in an official AFL match.
