Lions’ fans will get their first look at the defending AFLW Premiers on Friday, when they take part in an open practice match against the Gold Coast Suns at Leyshon Park, Yeronga.
The practice match will be the Lions’ only outing ahead of the start of the 2022 NAB AFLW season on January 7.
Brisbane Lions Head of Women’s Football, Breeanna Brock hopes that plenty of fans and members will take the opportunity to head down to Yeronga and catch a glimpse of their favourite Lions.
“It’s a great opportunity for all of our supporters to come down to Yeronga and support the team,” Brock said.
“We’re really looking forward to having the two Queensland teams come together at the home of AFL Queensland.”
“These matches always give us a good insight into how we are travelling and where the team is at ahead of the start of the season in a few weeks.”
Supporters are invited to head down to Yeronga from 5pm, with the first bounce scheduled for 6pm.
Food and drink will be available to purchase from the Yeronga Devils Football Club.
Please note that there is limited parking in surrounding streets.
