The AFL has today released the fixture for pre-season matches in 2022.
In preparation for the new season, the Brisbane Lions will play the Gold Coast Suns in a practice match before heading to Melbourne to take on the Western Bulldogs.
Lions fans will be eager to see Cam Rayner in full flight, after he sustained an ACL injury in a pre-season match against Gold Coast early in 2021.
Meanwhile, a Friday night semi-final re-match awaits at Marvel Stadium as the Lions will look to put the heartbreak of their one-point loss against the Bulldogs behind them.
In one the games of the 2021 season, a packed Gabba crowd watched on as the Lions kicked away to a three goal lead before Bailey Smith clawed the Dogs back into the game.
