The Brisbane Lions today confirmed the venue attendance requirements ahead of the Lions first AFLW home game at Maroochydore this weekend.
Due to the requirement by the Queensland Government that patrons (over the age of 16) be fully vaccinated to attend any/all hospitality outlets within the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex the vaccination policy will extend to the entire precinct for the purposes of the 2022 AFLW Season.
This means for you to gain entry to this venue you will need to supply a Queensland Health approved proof of full vaccination (or approved exemption).
Proof of vaccination is required on entry, using any of the following:
- A COVID-19 Digital Certificate (linked via the Check In Qld App or otherwise presented on your phone)
- Your Immunisation History Statement
- An International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel
All attendees are required to check in using the Check In Qld app on arrival, show proof of vaccination and have a valid ticket to attend the event being held at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.
It is requested that patrons wear masks when entering, exiting and moving around the stadium (including when purchasing food and drinks) and when you cannot socially distance. A mask must be carried at all times.
Proof of exemption for those who have medical contraindications must be provided by way of a medical certificate stating that a person is exempted from getting a COVID-19 vaccination. This can be downloaded from the Australian Immunisation Register.
Exemptions can also be attached to your Check-In Qld profile via your Medicare profile through My-Gov.
The health and safety of our fans, staff, players and all match attendees is our priority, and we are pleased to support the Queensland Government’s requirements.
For fans who have already purchased tickets but are unvaccinated, please log in to your My Ticketmaster account and request help with your order then request a refund.
If you have any specific questions about this policy, please refer to the Queensland Health website, which includes a series of frequently asked questions about the vaccination requirement for sporting event attendees.
