As a community, as supporters, as a club, we want the Brisbane Lions to have truly sustainable success.
We want future generations to feel the joy and be part of that success, and for that we need to leave a Legacy.
The Lions new Elite Performance Centre, Brighton Homes Arena, will allow the Club to add the football one-percenters that bring Premierships, provide national benchmark facilities for our AFLW and VFL athletes and a platform for community engagement that will allow us to interact like never before.
It is an $80 million project and will leave a legacy lasting a lifetime, a legacy that you can be part of.
The Club has raised 95% of the necessary funds via Government grants, partner contributions and early support by Club benefactors and is now embarking on a public fundraising campaign to raise the remainder.
You can help to ensure that the Lions have the right equipment at Brighton Homes Arena to best develop our athletes physically, support their football education and help us to tell their stories.
Brisbane Lions Chairman Andrew Wellington today urged members, fans and the entire Lions community to get behind the Lions Legacy project.
“I’m really excited to launch the Lions Legacy project today, which is an opportunity for all our members, supporters and community to make their own financial contribution to ensure that Brighton Homes Arena is a state-of-the-art facility and will set a new benchmark for facilities within professional sport in Australia, not just AFL and particularly for female athletes.
“People can make donations that are tax deductible, there’ll be special categories of donations, including having your name on the fence of Michael Voss Oval, having your name on one of the grandstand seats and having your name on one of the lockers in the AFL and AFLW changerooms.
“It’s a really exciting time to be part of the Lions and we think this project is going to make things even more exciting for Lions supporters.
“We can’t wait to invite everyone out for the first time later this year to see the Legacy they have helped build.”
You can join fellow like-minded, passionate Lions supporters and play a role in our future successes via a donation to our Elite Performance Centre at Brighton Homes Arena.
All donations over $2 will be recognised on the Club’s website and are tax deductible. Donations over $100 will be recognised on the Donor Wall at Brighton Homes Arena.
You can also have your name etched on our players’ lockers, on a grandstand seat or on the fence surrounding Michael Voss Oval.
Our AFL and AFLW teams and fellow supporters will note your contribution at every training and match day, with your name proudly displayed on the asset and you will also be recognised with an exclusive, coloured wedge on our Donor Wall and on the Club’s website.
