The Brisbane Lions will play their first, and only, match at the MCG for 2013 when they line-up against Richmond this Saturday afternoon.
Senior Coach Michael Voss has already hinted the match will be his team’s ‘Grand Final’ – particularly considering the Lions have rarely played at the ‘home of football’ in recent years.
The Round 20 match will also be the Club’s final home-and-away appearance in Melbourne this season.
However, it won’t be the team’s last visit to Victoria, with the Lions set to close out the regular season against Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Saturday 31 August at 2:10pm.

Melbourne-based Lions fans have had to wait almost three months – since that stirring Round 8 victory over Essendon at Etihad Stadium – before watching their team live in action again.
To acknowledge the ongoing support from the Victorian faithful this season, a selection of members who have attended every Melbourne match this season will form a guard of honour for the team to run through before Saturday’s match.
Three lucky winners of the Club’s Members Attendance Program will also be rewarded with exclusive access into the change rooms after the game.
In addition, long-time members Ralph and Dominic Bonadio are opening up the doors to their modern Italian restaurant, Il Duca (only a stone’s throw from the MCG), from 11am on Saturday and offering a special $30 pre-game lunch exclusively for Lions fans.
Bookings are subject to availability and filling up fast, so be sure to get in early to avoid disappointment.
