Key forward Joe Daniher will return for the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night in a huge test against St Kilda.
Daniher will play his first game in six weeks after injuring his shoulder in his side’s win over Sydney in Round Eight.
It’s an exciting prospect for Lions fans, who will see a three-pronged attack of Daniher, Hipwood and McStay for the first time since Round 17 last year.
Also named in the team for Saturday night is cult figure Mitch Robinson who comes back in for the Lions after showing strong form in the VFL.
Darcy Fort and Jaxon Prior have both been left out of this week’s side, with the two joining Rhys Mathieson and Jimmy Tunstill as emergencies.
In further team news, Darcy Gardiner has been given the green light to play after scans cleared him of any damage to his ribs following a heavy collision against Fremantle.
