The Brisbane Lions VFL have survived a scare from the Frankston Dolphins, holding on to take the win in a 6-point thriller on Friday night.
In a physical and highly contested affair that saw contributors from all over the ground, the Lions staved off a hungry Frankston side to secure the four points.
Clever goals late in the piece from Cal Ah Chee and Bruce Reville were critical in locking away the win, while two contested marks on the goal line from tall defender Connor McFadyen were crucial in ensuring the Lions got over the line.
Tom Berry was among the best for the Lions once again, showcasing his physicality and attack on the ball throughout evening.

Putting his body on the line time and time again, Berry was rewarded for effort, finishing with 27 disposals, 11 tackles, 7 clearances, two goals and two behinds.
Young speedster Harry Sharp showed plenty of energy around the contest as he put together one of his strongest performances to date.
Finding opportunities across the ground to make an impact for the Lions, Sharp was able to put damage on the scoreboard with a goal of his own in the second term.
Versatile forward Cal Ah Chee thrived in the wet and cold conditions, putting his class and experience on show when he levels the scores with a clever goal midway through the fourth quarter.

While Jimmy Tunstill, Wylie Buzza, Ryan Lester and Tom Fullarton all showed moments of brilliance during the win.
The Brisbane Lions will now have a bye, before facing Collingwood in Round 14.
