TOM ROCKLIFF has learned his lesson and it's time for everyone to move on, says Brisbane Lions captain Jed Adcock.

Adcock fronted the media on Tuesday morning as the AFL continued its investigation into incidents involving North Melbourne veteran Brent Harvey and coach Brad Scott following the Lions' upset win on Saturday night.

Adcock said Rockliff had apologised to Harvey for the comments made "in the heat of the battle”, and the trio, including Scott, were now satisfied.

He said it was time to put the matter behind them, but Rockliff had to be more careful.

"I think he's learned a lesson from it, yeah," Adcock said of his vice-captain.

"From what I've heard, Rocky has apologised and Boomer said it was all fine and they've moved on, and I think everything's fine with Scotty and Rocky as well. It's all part of footy really.

"From this point on, it seems the three of them have settled things. I don't think anything has to go any further.

"We've moved on and I'm sure the Kangaroos have moved on, and we'll wait for you guys (media) to move on."

Adcock said he understood it was a bigger issue than usual after Harvey took exception to Rockliff's post-siren comments.

Scott then had stern words with the Rockliff while players waited for an on-field tribute to retiring Lions champion Jonathan Brown.

Adcock said he had not spoken to Rockliff, but Leppitsch had.

"Rocky's got to be careful, he wears his heart on his sleeve and plays with a fair bit of passion," Adcock said.

"More just the timing, being after the siren, and he made a smart remark that didn't go down too well and caused a few eyebrows (to be raised).

"He's just got to watch the timing of when he says things."
