The pair - who hail from South Australia and Victoria respectively - quickly became best mates after arriving at the Club during the 2008 off-season, and have been near inseparable ever since.
Even though both now have girlfriends, they still live together, eat together, and are even believed to have matching tattoos!
They’re also not afraid to dish out friendly jibes at each other when the opportunity arises.
That was certainly the case on Thursday when Redden chatted with fans exclusively on lions.com.au.
During the chat, he jokingly suggested that SKINS advocate Rockliff was a “squirrel” who needed to “update his wardrobe”.
He also didn’t miss Rockliff when asked which of the two would score the most AFL Dream Team points this season.
“Rocky probably, though he gets most of his touches in the pie stand,” Redden said.
Surprisingly, Redden is yet to appear on his mate’s popular ‘Challenge’ segment on LIONS TV, stating that it was because Rockliff “steals the limelight”.
But the 21 year-old hinted that his debut appearance might not be far away.
“I think there might be one coming up,” Redden revealed.
“I might feature over the next couple of weeks. All I can say is stay tuned…”
In an interview with the Herald Sun earlier this year, Rockliff’s mum Jill gave her own insight into the young Lions team-mates.
"He's (Redden) just cheeky, they're all cheeky, they're gorgeous,” Jill told the Herald Sun back in May.
“I get along with all the boys, they're like a family. They probably have to be because they're all from different states."
"I remember Lambo (Craig Lambert) telling me that you know when kids will find each other, they don't push them, and those two found each other and just clicked. They're best mates, inseparable.”
