The AFL has announced the locations of 2012 Australia Post AFL Community Camp, which will see more than 800 AFL players take to communities across Australia.

The Brisbane Lions will be spending their camp on the Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg from February 16 to 17.

The Lions will conduct training sessions and visit schools and various other community groups with the aim of bringing together individuals and communities through football.

The AFL’s National and International Development General Manager Andrew Dillon said that the camps were a great way to reach out to communities in rural and remote areas.

“The annual camps are a highlight of the year for many football fans that don’t have the opportunity to see their football idols every week during the season,” he said.
