The Brisbane Lions will be without two more key players for tonight’s clash against Melbourne at TIO Stadium, after Co-Captain Jonathan Brown and defender Mitch Golby were withdrawn from the selected side.
Emergencies Jordan Lisle and Sam Docherty will replace Brown and Golby, who were unable to take their place due to minor injuries.
It’s another huge blow for the Lions, who are already without star midfield pair Simon Black (adductor) and Brent Moloney (calf).
Brown has kicked a Club-high 26 goals this season, while Golby has enjoyed a career-best season averaging over 19 disposals per game in 2013.
Lisle gets his chance for a recall following a dominant seven-goal performance against Redland in the NEAFL, with Docherty just as prominent in the same match with a team-high 36 disposals, nine marks and six rebounds.
