This town is too small for the both of us (not really, Queensland's pretty big, but still!).

We head down the M1 to take on our formidable rivals in the Gold Coast Suns in another Qclash.

We've run the numbers, we've done the maths, here's everything you need to know about this weekends clash.

Last time we met

Our midfield stood up last time we played the Suns, here's what the AFL said about the win:

"When Brisbane was challenged on Saturday night, its star-studded midfield ripped the game away from Gold Coast, leading the charge to a 43-point win at the Gabba.

The Suns were within five points early in the final term, but the hosts kicked the final six goals of the night to storm to a 16.11 (107) to 9.10 (64) victory.

And while Joe Daniher again shone with four goals, it was Brisbane's midfield that won the night.

Lachie Neale, Josh Dunkley, Hugh McCluggage and Will Ashcroft got to work, overwhelming Gold Coast at the contest and camping the ball inside the Lions' forward 50.

Neale was magnificent, winning the Marcus Ashcroft Medal for best afield with his game-high 35 disposals and 10 clearances, including a stunning eight out of the centre.

Dunkley (29 and seven clearances) had the best of his head-to-head battle with Matt Rowell (18) and McCluggage (30) and Ashcroft (30) also had big influences.

Kai's Return

Kai 'Grug' Lohmann returns to the AFL side this weekend in an exciting boost for the team.

The sneaky goal kicker has shown strong form in the VFL and will be rewarded with a spot in the main side after being named as tactical sub last week.

Watch for the scenes if 'Grug' manages to kick his first goal! We're going early and calling it the celebration of the season if he does!

Match-ups we're keen for

Joe Daniher vs Sam Collins

It's always an interesting contest when these two mark up on each other.

In his 100th game, Sam Collins will have a tough task trying to minimise big Joey's impact.

Our #3 is averaging 2.4 goals a game, 6.2 marks and 6.4 score involvements, while Collins is averaging 7.6 intercept possessions and 8.3 spoils a game.

Here's hoping Joey can pull out another four goal performance like he did in Round 10.
