The Brisbane Lions AFLW team have named three new faces to take on the Richmond Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Springfield’s Brighton Homes Arena.

Charlotte Mullins and Ella Smith, drafted in 2022 prior to Season Seven will debut after impressing the coaching staff throughout the preseason and practice matches.

Rookie forward, Analea McKee, is set to play her first game of AFLW after being signed from Geelong VFLW during the off season.

Jade Pregelj will play her first game in Lions colours, getting the nod in a strong Lions defence, named alongside Captain Bre Koenen and Vice-Captain Nat Grider.

Lily Postlethwaite also returns Head Coach Craig Starcevich’s side after a strong preseason following her ACL injury in 2022.

Brighton Homes Arena will play host to the Lions season opener with the first bounce from 3:05pm.
