Sophie Conway is set to run out against Port Adelaide on Saturday in her 50th appearance for the Brisbane Lions AFLW side.
A debut in Round 1 of 2018 kicked off Conway’s career, booting a goal in the Lions 12-point win over the Adelaide Crows.
The energetic winger, who has a knack of floating forward, is a regular contributor on the scoreboard with 26 goals in 49 outings as a Lion.
“Six years involved with the Brisbane Lions, we’ve had a few ups and downs along the way but it’s as special as anything,” she said.
“50 down and hopefully a long, long career to come, to keep pulling on this jumper is pretty special and I love it.
“I love playing with these girls and for this club, I can’t wait to get out there on Saturday.”
The journey to 50 games has been a mixed journey for the charismatic Lion.
