Eight former Brisbane Lions champions will lace up their old footy boots again for tonight’s annual EJ Whitten Legends game at Etihad Stadium.
The highly popular and entertaining spectacle will see Victoria’s finest battle a team of All-Stars, with proceeds from the event distributed to the EJ Whitten Foundation which raises money and awareness for prostate cancer research.
Champion centre-half forward Jonathan Brown will skipper the ‘Big V’ and has compiled a formidable line-up, which includes a couple of his former premiership teammates in Chris Johnson and Daniel Bradshaw.
They will face some stiff, and familiar, competition in the All-Stars who boast a handful of past Lions greats including Martin Pike, Ash McGrath, Jason Akermanis, Richard Champion, and Darryl White.

The EJ Whitten Legends Match will be broadcast LIVE on Channel 7 (or 7mate in Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane) and Fox Footy from 7:30pm.
The game will also be streamed LIVE on the official AFL mobile and tablet app.
