The Brisbane Lions will head into Saturday’s AFL Grand Final against Collingwood unchanged.
The Club will back the same team which saw the Lions win their Preliminary Final against Carlton last week to again take the field in a bid to help it claim its first Premiership since 2003.
Senior coach Chris Fagan and the match committee made the decision not to select defender Jack Payne who has been managing an ankle complaint, despite him training on Thursday.
Fellow defender Darcy Gardiner will hold his place in the team after a strong performance in Brisbane’s Preliminary Final victory.
Payne has been listed as one of four emergencies alongside teammates Jarryd Lyons, James Tunstill and Darcy Fort.
Saturday’s Grand Final is an extra special occasion for Dayne Zorko, with the former skipper lining up for 250th AFL match.
