A near full-strength Brisbane Lions squad has been confirmed for tomorrow night’s AAMI Community Series match against the Sydney Swans.
The Lions are bolstered with Co-Captain Lachie Neale and bullish midfielder Jarrod Berry both named to face the Swans at Blacktown International Sports Park.
It will be the first time the duo has featured in any preseason matches, with Neale (groin) and Berry (shoulder) both recovered from post-season surgery.
Fellow midfielder Deven Robertson (wrist) is another Lion to overcome injury to be available, with the Club opting to give the young talent a run in the VFL match.
The 26-man squad includes an eight-man interchange, which is expected to be rotated heavily with the expected forecast in Sydney pushing towards 40 degrees on Thursday.
The Lions extended bench is Kai Lohmann, Callum Ah Chee, Lincoln McCarthy, James Madden, Dayne Zorko, Jarryd Lyons, Henry Smith and James Tunstill.
The match was originally scheduled for 4:10pm AEDT has been moved to 7:10pm AEDT due to the extreme heat.
