Brisbane Lions Chief Executive Officer, Greg Swann, is urging a sold out Gabba crowd to bring the roar to the Lions Opening Round clash against Carlton this Friday.
Swann said the Lions were huge supporters of the Opening Round concept and was pleased with the response from the Lions growing fan base.
“We’ve had a great Gabba record over the past few years, including winning all home games here in 2023 and the support from the crowd plays a big role in lifting the team.
“I’ve heard a few of the boys say the crowd is like having an extra man on the field, they love the noise, so we want our fans to bring the roar again in 24!”
“The squad has had a great off season, the players returned from their break in good shape, they’ve been training hard at Brighton Homes Arena and there is a hunger amongst them.
“We’re ready to get the season underway and would like to lock down Opening Round again in 2025.”
Swann, who enters his 10th season in charge at the Lions said the club continues to kick goals off field.
“From a club perspective, we’ve passed 45,000 Members already and are aiming to break the 60,000 mark for the first time, a few years ago this would’ve been unthinkable and our sponsorship portfolio continues to grow.
“Members, fans and our partners are who we play for, and I want to thank everyone who has committed to the club again and we’re looking forward to putting on a good show for them this season.”
