The Brisbane Lions Football Club is saddened to hear the news former Fitzroy player Leigh Robertson passed away just before Christmas, aged 74.

Robertson played 76 games with Fitzroy from 1869-74 and kicked 14 goals – playing most of his career at the Lions in the #18 guernsey.

He was part of Fitzroy’s Reserves premiership win in his final season at the Club (1974).

Robertson’s younger brother, Glenn, also played for Fitzroy in the early 1970s.

The Club extends its deepest condolences to the entire Robertson family at this difficult time.
