The players not selected in the Brisbane Lions’ senior team for this Friday night’s NAB Cup Grand Final will get one last opportunity to impress the Club’s match committee before they start formulating the Round One side.
The Lions Reserves will face the Gold Coast Suns Reserves in a NEAFL practice match at Metricon Stadium this Saturday 16 March, starting at 2:30pm.
It will be the final hit-out for the Lions players this pre-season, and all fans are encouraged to make the trip down the Pacific Highway to cheer the boys on this Saturday afternoon.
The Reserves team is likely to be made up of some of the Club’s young guns, including first-round draftee Sam Mayes.
However, fans should keep posted to lions.com.au and Twitter (@brisbanelions) before the game in case extreme weather forces the match to be postponed, as was the case two weeks ago.
