Business leader and Shark Tank Australia lead Shark, Maxine Horne has been appointed to the Board of the Brisbane Lions.
Lions Chairman, Andrew Wellington said:
“Maxine brings significant experience in successfully building consumer and technology focussed businesses.
“She will be a great asset for our Board as we continue to focus on enhancing our supporters and members experience, as well as building our financial sustainability.
Ms Horne said she was excited to join the Lions and looking forward to sharing her expertise.
“I can’t wait to get involved with the Lions, I’ve been a long term fan and the opportunity to work closely in a professional context is something I’m really looking forward to.
“It’s an exciting time for the club and code across Queensland. The Lions have just had a new stadium confirmed, participation continues to grow and there’s a real optimism around what the Lions can achieve on and off field for years to come.”
Fellow Directors, Mick Power and Tim Forrester were re-elected unopposed at the club’s Annual General Meeting in February.
