Youi Brisbane Lions Academy players, Millie Murray and Edie Fraser have both been rewarded for a strong Nationals campaign with selection in the 2025 All-Australian side.

Murray and Fraser played pivotal roles for the Youi Lions Academy throughout the 2025 Marsh National Championships.

The Lions finished with one win and one loss for the Championships taking care of Victoria Country by 40 points but travelled to South Australia to play the eventual champions, going down by 56 points.

Under 16 Youi Lions Academy coach, Paul Henriksen said he was proud of both girls who were rewarded for their consistency across the championships.

“Millie is a classy on baller from Maroochydore FC. She gained 40 possession over the carnival with a high kicking efficiency – the bouns is  that can also  forward and hit the scoreboard. Millie will play some Level 3 U18 in the upcoming Coates League games for the Lions," Henriksen said.

“Edie possesses high footy IQ and quality forward craft. Hailing from the Coorparoo FC  - she knows where to position herself inside the F50; and is crafty enough to know where the goals are. Her best performance was kicking 4 goals against Vic Country. She will also play some Coates League football.” 

Murray, a classy midfielder who demonstrated her quality ball-use and high footy IQ was rewarded for two strong outings against Victoria County and South Australia.

The midfielder averaged 20 disposals (13 contested), four tackles and three clearances including a goal against Victoria Country.

Fraser, highlighted by her mercurial performance against Victoria Country where she kicked four goals in an outstanding performance. Averaged 14 disposals and always looked dangerous inside 50.
