Brisbane Lions AFLW forward Britt Gibson will depart the Club after two seasons to join North Melbourne as part of the expanding AFLW competition in 2019.
Gibson was a founding member of the Lions team who reached consecutive AFLW Grand Finals.
“It was a tough decision for Britt to go to North but she will be closer to family and friends in Tasmania," said Lions Women's CEO Breanna Brock.
"We would love to see her stay in Brisbane but wish her the best, especially with her and her partner Jamie expecting their first child together.”
The Lions will announce player recommitments when the signing and trade period opens on May 23.
