In terms of AFL Dream Team performance, young Lions midfielder Tom Rockliff had a very productive weekend.

The 21 year-old was among the Lions’ best players in the team’s defeat against Richmond, accumulating a massive 132 AFL Dream Team points courtesy of his 28 disposals and 10 tackles.

Rockliff’s total was the highest individual scorer among all Lions players for Round 6, edging out early Dream Team bolter - and good mate - Jack Redden who finished one point shy with 131 points.

Redden’s score bolstered his overall average to 116.4 points per game which ranks him fifth in the competition. Only Collingwood pair Dane Swan (124.33) and Scott Pendlebury (121.83), Hawthorn midfielder Sam Mitchell (119.0) and West Coast ruckman Dean Cox (117.4) average more Dream Team points.

Meanwhile Rockliff, who is also participating as a ‘coach’ in the AFL Dream Team competition, had one his best off-field results of this season. His team - ‘Rocky’s Rebels’ - seems to have finally turned the corner after scoring 1,793 points to move up 32 places in the Lions’ League into 511th. In the process, he leap-frogged Josh Green’s ‘Incredibles’ who now occupy the lowest position among the Lions players.

Rockliff’s score was the second highest among the 10 Lions players, beaten only by Ash McGrath’s team ‘Boonj’s Bandits’ who rocketed up 43 spots back into the top 500. McGrath directly benefited from former ‘Baringa Boys’ Redden and Rockliff who form part of his Dream Team's impressive midfield.

But the main change after Round 6 was Joel Patfull overtaking Daniel Rich as the highest placed Lions player participating in the online competition. ‘Patfull’s Posse’ went up 16 places to 165th, while ‘Richy’s Rockets’ slipped back to 211th.

‘Spaceballs’ has maintained their overall lead in the Lions’ Dream Team League, but new challenger ‘albert proud ftw’ is nipping at their heels.

Congratulations also to ‘Bob’s Hacks’ - coached by Adam - whose Round 6 score of 2,010 was the highest among all registered teams in the Lions’ group.
