It was a special moment on Saturday for 18-year old Billy Evans who made his debut with the Lions.

Club triple premiership legend Mal Michael presented Evans with his playing jumper, wishing him all the best for his senior career.

Evans is the fifth 2014 draftee to debut this season, following Jaden McGrath, Harris Andrews, Liam Dawson and Hugh Beasley.

Recruited from the Bendigo Pioneers he was drafted to Brisbane at pick four in the pre-season AFL Rookie Draft.

He is the 174th player to represent the merged Brisbane Lions since 1997 and the 1423rd player to represent the Club (Fitzroy and Bears).
