It was a case of another missed opportunity on Saturday night when the Western Bulldogs narrowly defeated the Brisbane Lions.
Offensively the Lions were strong for the second week in a row after struggling in front of goal earlier in the season.
Forwards Coach Jed Adcock was disappointed the team couldn’t finish the game off.
“It probably felt like another missed opportunity,” Adcock said.
“It’s disappointing that we couldn’t quite finish it off and get a win.”
Despite a number of close losses this season, Adcock is positive once the team can secure that first win it will lead to bigger and better things.
“It’s just being able to keep fighting for that first win.”
“I’m sure once we get that first win, things will flow a lot easier after that.”

The Lions grabbed 19 marks inside 50 on Saturday, to the Bulldogs’ 16, with Dan McStay and Oscar McInerney both taking a couple of great contested grabs.
Together with Eric Hipwood, McInerney and McStay will hopefully form the nucleus of the Lions’ forward line in the future.
“They are going to start to learn each other’s patterns and learn when to fly, and when not to.”
