As far as fairytale matches go, it doesn't get much better than Round 13 of 2013 when the Brisbane Lions took on Geelong at the Gabba.
Geelong looked set for another flag assault, sitting second on the ladder with 10 wins and only one loss, while the Lions were toiling away much lower on the ladder.
The Cats came out firing, taking a 27-point lead into halftime and led by 52-points at one stage in the third term.
They were in control for most of the day and were easily the more polished and precise side up until the final change.
But a three-quarter time speech from Coach Michael Voss inspired an incredible final quarter surge from his men.
The Lions kicked three unanswered goals to start the final term, bringing the margin back to 20 points.
With two minutes to go the Lions trailed by only one goal. An outstanding kick from outside 50 by Daniel Rich levelled the scores before seconds later the Cats regained the lead with a behind.
In the desperate final seconds, Dayne Zorko swept the ball straight to Ash McGrath who took a mark just inside 50 as the siren sounded.
In his 200th career game, it all came down to McGrath's final kick to finish off a dream comeback.
A perfect kick had fans on their feet with Lions bringing home a 15.13.103 to 14.14.98 triumph
It was well and truly a miracle on grass.
For the man of the hour, McGrath - who bagged a total of three goals - games like this came once in a lifetime.
"It's a boyhood dream, everyone does it when they're a small kid," McGrath said from the Lions' locker rooms post-match.
"You always dream of kicking the winning goal to get your team over the line. It's just a surreal feeling at the moment."

Club legend Simon Black was also influential throughout the match collecting 33 disposals, 12 of which came in the final quarter.
Black became the Lions' record holder for games on the night, playing his 320th AFL game.
Brent Moloney was instrumental with his clearance work in the last quarter, finishing the night with three goals.
Five years later, the miracle on grass continues to be remembered as one of the most thrilling 11th-hour comebacks ever made in the AFL.
