Dayne Beams was outstanding, collecting 37 disposals, six clearances and a brilliant goal, thanks to an assist from ruckman Stefan Martin.             

Once again, Darcy Gardiner stood up down back. Gardiner collected 24 disposals at 91 percent efficiency, an equal game-high six rebound 50s and six one-percenters.

Dan McStay kicked two majors for the Lions and produced nine marks, three of which were contested.

Captain Dayne Zorko made an impact with 23 disposals, five marks and a goal. 

Mitch Robinson was ruthless, keeping Geelong skipper Joel Selwood quiet early. Robinson made a game-high ten tackles and five clearances.

Backman Harris Andrews wasn't given an easy task in his first match since Round 14 after a severe concussion. Andrews was handed the job on Tom Hawkins and made a pleasing impact with ten one-percenters.
