Young Brisbane midfielder Hugh McCluggage says the Lions are wary, but will have no problem dealing with the hype surrounding the Club following three straight wins.

After dismissing Hawthorn by 33 points at the weekend, Brisbane is on a three-game streak for the first time since 2013 ahead of Saturday night's home meeting with Adelaide.

"We're trying to keep a lid on it and looking at all the obstacles in our way," McCluggage said on Tuesday afternoon.

"You've got to celebrate the success, especially after a few hard years.

"There is that danger, but I think we'll be alright with that."

Attracting media to cover the Lions has been an arduous task over the past five years, but on Tuesday it was a full house of television, print and radio journalists at the Gabba to greet six players made available to speak.

McCluggage said it was "exciting" to break down some long-standing barriers over recent weeks, including the Lions' first win in Perth since 2010 and first win in Launceston since 2009.

The 20-year-old was instrumental in defeating the Hawks, racking up 29 disposals (14 contested), kicking a goal and adding two assists.

After putting a dent in Hawthorn's finals chances, the Lions have an opportunity to do likewise to Adelaide on Saturday night and then Geelong the following week.

McCluggage said the young Lions thought they could beat anyone, and it wasn't just the older players with the belief.

"I think we always believed we could," he said.

"We had been playing good football but we weren't making the most of the key moments.

"Now we definitely feel like every week we're out there playing to win.

"The youth does help. Cam Rayner brings the enthusiasm, which is infectious.

"The older boys have stepped up as well. The middle-age group are playing a lot better- Nick Robertson, Darcy Gardiner, Lewy Taylor – all those sorts of blokes are really stepping up."
