AFL.com.au's Michael Whiting runs through some possible changes to the Lions side.

Shouldn't see too many changes for Saturday's QClash against the Gold Coast, with first-year pair Cedric Cox and Alex Witherden the only ones under an injury cloud from last weekend's loss to the Bulldogs.

The Lions' NEAFL team has won 10 matches in succession, so there's plenty of in-form options to choose from, with Liam Dawson, Claye Beams and Ryan Harwood all good half-back options if Cox or Witherden need replacing. 

Josh Schache had a quiet performance against the Bulldogs, and Archie Smith, Michael Close and Matthew Hammelmann - who all performed brilliantly in the NEAFL on the weekend - loom as potential options to take over his spot. 

Meanwhile, Whiting thinks the SUNS new caretaker Coach Dean Solomon may make a couple of changes. 

With a new coach to lead their team against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday, the Suns will also bring in a couple of hard-nut midfielders. 

Michael Rischitelli was rested from the trip west to play Fremantle, while David Swallow was a late withdrawal with a tight groin, but both will play against the Lions.
