New Brisbane Lions recruit Bella Ayre can't wait to rip in at pre-season training ahead of the 2018 AFL Women's season. 

Ayre attended Saturday's night AFL match at the Gabba, meeting a few of her new teammates and catching up with Women's Captain, Emma Zielke.

“I can’t wait to be a part of the team. I’m really looking forward to getting into it,” Ayre said.

“I’m a key forward. I like to play centre-half forward or full forward, running through the middle.

“I can take a good mark and try and kick a few goals."

Touted as one of the competition’s most promising youngsters, Ayre will join the Lions for AFLW's 2018 after playing the inaugural season with Carlton.
