Get to Metricon and help us make history!
That’s the message from the Brisbane Lions Women’s team ahead of Saturday’s AFLW Grand Final against Adelaide.
The high-flying & big-marking duo of Sabrina Frederick-Traub and Tayla Harris says the undefeated Lions have quickly moved on from the disappointment of not playing the season decider at the Gabba.
And they have called on all Queenslanders to channel their emotion towards being at Metricon Stadium on Saturday to help cheer the team to a premiership.
"We are happy it is still in Queensland because we have been working really hard this season to earn the right for a home grand final,” said Frederick-Traub.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We are making history. I think everyone in Queensland should really support us because I don't know if it will happen again.
"If you want to be part of history, an hour's distance isn't really that much."

Harris said: “All we are focused on now is getting ourselves right on the field.
“It’s a piece of history and we are so excited to be a part of it and to be able to play in front of a Queensland crowd.
“We want as many fans as possible to get along to Metricon and support us on Saturday.”
