Cian Hanley will play his first Australian Rules football match against the Gold Coast SUNS in the NEAFL tomorrow afternoon.
The 20-year-old Irish recruit has battled injury since being drafted to the Lions as an international rookie at the end of 2014 – first an ACL and then groin problems.
Hanley will wear the number 11 jumper that was most recently worn by his older brother Pearce, who was traded to the Gold Coast SUNS in October.
Lions NEAFL Coach Mitch Hahn will use the match to put valuable game time into his group - which includes many of the Club's emerging players.
The Lions' 2016 draftees - Jarrod Berry, Cedric Cox, Jacob Allison, Mitchell Hinge, Oscar McInerney, Blake Grewar and Corey Lyons have all been listed.
Bounce down is at 4.40pm tomorrow.
