The Brisbane Lions took on the Adelaide Crows at the Gabba on Saturday night.
Skipper Dayne Beams was the leading possession-getter on the ground with 40 touches and 6 tackles in his return from injury, but he could not inspire his Lions teammates to reverse the tide.
Daniel Rich and Dayne Zorko also impressed through the midfield notching 29 and 26 disposals, respectively, as well as two early goals from Zorks in the first quarter.
Coach Chris Fagan was impressed with Jake Barrett who played a defensive attacking role on Brodie Smith while still managing 13 disposals, 8 tackles and two goals.
