Despite a heavy loss to the Cats on Saturday night at the Gabba, several Lions players turned in excellent performances.

Dayne Zorko was superb, tallying 36 disposals, 10 clearances, 12 tackles, four goals and one goal assist. 

Jarrod Berry performed well in a tagging role on Joel Selwood, restricting the Cats Captain to 24 disposals while collecting 18 disposals of his own. 

Stefan Martin was strong in the ruck, recording 31 hit outs and eight clearances. 

Sam Mayes was solid across halfback, gathering 22 disposals and making seven rebound 50s. 

Ryan Bastinac kicked three goals, while Eric Hipwood added two majors.
