In the fourth, and final, instalment of his Season Wrap video series on LIONS TV, Senior Coach Michael Voss reveals the key areas that his Club will be looking to improve over the pre-season period.

Of critical importance for Voss and his coaching staff is ensuring the team can maintain intensity for a full game - and not suffer from momentary lapses.

“The biggest focus we’ve got to have is making sure we can sustain effort across four quarters,” Voss said.

Voss also said that the pre-season would be more about refinement, rather than overhaul, as the Club looks to build on the significant gains made in 2012.

“I’m really comfortable with where the group is at physically, and our depth is starting to emerge,” he said.

“It’s more now about us being able to have a really strong understanding of the basics of our game [and] the predictability of our game plan, so when we do get in pressure situations, we step up.”

“I thought Port Adelaide was a pleasing game, particularly in the last quarter where [Daniel] Rich, [Claye] Beams, [Dayne] Zorko, [Josh] Green, and [Joel] Patfull stood up when the game was on the line.”
