Since it’s initial start up in November 2009 the AFL Club Academy program at the Brisbane Lions is now entering its 7th year of operation and has resulted in 13 Academy players graduating onto AFL senior & rookie playing lists, along with 3 Academy coaches graduating into AFL senior development coach roles.

We see the coaching pathway as an important part of our Academy program not only to directly assist with our Academy training program but to also help the development of our squad of player’s at when they are training & playing back at club level.
